Scientific study :

A scientific study conducted in Britain revealed that eating healthy, balanced meals maintains brain health and enhances human cognitive functions and mental powers.

The study, conducted by researchers from the British University of Warwick and published in the scientific journal “Nature Mental Health,” highlighted that the diets a person chooses not only affect his physical health, but also his mental health.

Within the framework of the study, data was analyzed on a large sample of 181,990 people from the UK Biobank, which included vital indicators, mental functions, metabolic indicators, and genetic factors in order to explore the relationship between nutrition and general human health.

Data was collected regarding the nature of the foods consumed by the participants in the experiment through questionnaires conducted on the Internet, where the volunteers were divided into ten categories according to the type of foods that each person prefers. An artificial intelligence system was used to analyze and classify this huge set of data and draw conclusions.

The study showed that eating balanced meals increases the volume of gray matter in the brain, which is associated with intelligence, while significantly improving mental and cognitive abilities compared to people who eat less diverse meals.

For those who are not keen on eating healthy meals, the study stressed the need for them to gradually modify their eating habits and reduce the sugar and fat content in the foods they eat.

Researcher Jian Feng, head of the study team, stressed the need to pay attention to eating healthy foods from a young age.

Feng added, in statements to the Medical Express website, which specializes in medical research, that “families and schools must provide diverse nutritional meals for children and students in order to create a healthy environment that supports the physical and mental health of young people.”
